Robot Butterfly Assembly - Chapter 8/14

Insert the ultrasonic sensor into the enclosure.

Install it inside the enclosure through the holes at the front, with the headers facing up. This can be accomplished by tilting the sensor downwards, then forwards while pressing through. Please refer to photos for clarification.

Being patient and gentle will help to avoid damage to the sensor. This step is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle!

Insert the battery pack piece (assembled in the Electronics section).

The wires should be facing front towards the ultrasonic sensor.

From the yellow envelope, secure 4x M3 - 8 mm fasteners with washers through the holes on the battery bracket into the heatset inserts.

Insert servo motor into servo bracket.

The servo’s tabs should be in contact with the flat face of the servo bracket. The axel of the servo motor should be upwards, furthest away from the bracket’s mounting points. Please refer to the photos for clarification.

From the black envelope, Attach the 4x M2 - 10 mm fasteners with washers and hex nuts to the servo motors and servo bracket.
